Prototyping support

Modesi has experience with different types of prototyping solutions. These different solutions give explicit marketing information and technical insight in different phases of the development process. We are familiar with the following types of prototyping:

        > Functional prototyping

Modesi is able to support the production of mechanical prototypes to show the functionality and proof-of-principal. The production of the prototypes is carried out by one of our strategic partners.

        > Rapid prototyping

This form of prototyping gives excellent opportunities for product assessment. With stereo lithography (STL) and selective laser sintering (SLS) we are able to make physical models within short time. The models can be used for a proof-of-principal, design review and market research. Depending on material usage the prototypes can be used for manufacturing purposes or aerodynamic measurements.

        > Styling models

Modesi has experience with the production of styling and clay models. Together with strategic partners we are able to mill form and clay models. The clay model can be modified afterwards. Through 3D scanning and reverse engineering we can combine the clay geometry and the basic CAD data.

        > Virtual Reality (VR)

Computer models are very useful for market research and concept testing in an early development stage. Modesi has experience with 2D and 3D visualisation techniques in order to make realistic product visualisations and animations.
