Working principle

Just as the conventional ICE, the JaqEngine is also a plunger air pump that keeps itself running by the use of combustion of fuels. The JaqEngine is based on a two-stroke combustion cycle. It does not use a crankshaft to transfer the translating movement into a rotating movement, but instead it uses a wobble-disc to transfer a translating movement into a rotating movement (axial plunger air pump).

This alternative mechanism has several benefits, as it is used in the jaqEngine, and one of the most important is the absence/reduction of sliding forces of the piston (with piston rings) in the cylinder. The absence/reduction of the sliding forces is due to the fact, that the piston rod is perfectly straight guided. The necessary freedom for movement of the system is obtained by the new design of a ball joint between piston rod and wobble-disc.
