FROG Navigation Systems
Project: Automated outdoor palletmover
This project concerns the development of an outdoor palletmover for Frog Navigation Systems. The main purpose of this automated guided vehicle is to transport single pallets with medicines between different hangars. The pallet can be slided into the climatic space at the rear side of the vehicle.
The rendering above shows the CAD model and the first prototype of the vehicle. Modesi was also responsible for the graphical design and striping of the vehicle. In the front cover two ultrasonic sensors have been placed in the sockets. These sensors are able to detect an open tail-board of a truck. Underneath the bumper there is a laser scanner for long distance detection.
The vehicle has been developed in cooperation with Spijkstaal BV and Pecocar. The chassis of the vehicle is developed by Spijkstaal. The design and engineering of the vehicle (component packaging, body panel, placement of ultrasonic sensors, etc.) has been performed by Modesi.
