Back ground

The JaqEngine is a new concept of an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), which is invented by Ing. Jaap Jaquet. Since 1999, Ing. Jaquet has been developing a complete new design for an ICE, with the goal to improve the efficiency and reduce emissions. In the year 2005, Ing. Jaquet and Modesi started a new company, called Valcon Motor Company, to further develop this new ICE. Nowadays the development is still in progress and its getting towards the production of the first prototype.

Main features of the JaqEngine are:

  • Variable Compression Ratio
  • Two-stroke combustion cycle
  • Opposed piston configuration
  • Wobble-disc mechanism
  • Combustion area completely separated from mechanical area
  • Multi-fuel (gasoline, diesel, hydrogen, etc)
  • Multi-combustion processes (HCCI, CAI, Lean-burn, stratified charge combustion etc.)
  • Less parts compared to otto-motor
